Driffield Methodist Church

Church Garden and Prayer Garden

We have a lovely garden in which you can enjoy some peace and quiet at any time. It was created as part of our re-development using grants to benefit the community. It was designed by a member of our Church who qualified at Bishop Burton College. It is an all-access garden, as is the new Church building.

Soon there will be more information here about the Prayer Garden specifically, how to use the Guides you will find there, and the different areas of the garden. Until then - just enjoy it! Here are some images of it's development:

If you wish to see the development of the garden as part of the rebuild, as well as the later achievements and future aspirations of the garden space, then see below for a full history and report by the Garden Committee:

Raised Bed     The "new" raised bed, built to replace one that was hit by a car! This has recessed legs that should protect it from similar damage. Made from recycled wood that was a back door! Now planted up, including a clematis to climb the bedstead!
